I suspect that by the mid-2030s things will have changed enough that we will be able to say that it's not the same USA that it was before. That doesn't mean I think it will be the end of the world, just that something that cannot keep going forever will eventually reach a breaking point.
A lot of the things you recommended to keep Idaho red would be more likely in a situation where Idaho is no longer under the control of DC. So likely better for Idaho.
Your time frame matches the 2033 predicted by Vox Day.
Considering the relatively short time frame, what sorts of preparations do you think are reasonable for people in Treasure Valley now while the Federal government begins transitioning?
I think we need to craft a state legislature that is willing to start pulling back sovereignty from the federal government. We need to stop letting the federal bureaucracy dictate to us using tax dollars as leverage. We should work to make our families, communities, and our state as self-sufficient as possible, so that whatever happens, we will be in a good position.
Based on Vox Day's prediction I am building 200 acres in TV and am coordinating with other homesteaders in TV to build a network in case of a worse case scenario.
Based on my analysis of local infrastructure and regional politics, I don't even think power and Internet will go down in TV with the dissolution of the Union. Of course, I could be wrong in which case the homestead network will be helpful.
I'll send you my analysis through private channels.
Thanks for this look at the man behind the newsletter. I particularly enjoyed your thoughts on genealogy and ancestors. I tell my kids (and grandkids) often that knowing where they've come from is as important as knowing where they plan to go...
In how many years do you expect to see the end of the United States as a political entity as we know it today?

One of my first posts on my other blog examined Vox's prediction: https://declineandfall.blog/2018/12/14/vox-day-and-2033/
