“Identifies as” is the key phrase here. As with other members of society, simply “identifying as” something does not make you that something. In this case, many Idaho voters, candidates, and especially office holders “identify as” Republicans, but they have proven to be something quite different.

Like it or not the Idaho state constitution is a huge problem. Until it is amended school choice bills will be ripe for legal challenge.
