Our natural rights, enshrined in the Constitution, are freedom from the government’s control over our lives. Those rights didn’t ask for anything to be provided to us. FDR articulated and progressives continue to claim rights to goods and services that are to be provided by others. There can be no natural right to anyone else’s property or services. Therefore we cannot have a right to housing or health care or schooling or food unless we provide it for ourselves.
