I was 100% anti-gun for most of my life. But after seeing tyranny take over the blue state where I lived (Oregon), our country, and most of the unarmed world, my stance has changed 100%. Without 2A, none of our precious rights will exist. (Even tyrants understand this; after all, they surround themselves with well-armed security personnel.)
Yes, guns can be dangerous and kill people. So can cars, steak knives, forks, and stairs. But responsible use of the aforementioned can be beneficial for most. We must never punish the good citizen for the acts of a few bad ones.
Brian, God Given 2nd Amendment means If my life or safety is fatally threatened, the perpetrators is /are removed. Its liberty or death for me. No inbetween.
In my world there is no govt folly between my right to exterminate those who would do harm and my right to use the appliance of choice.

PS: Make no mistake.... Our own government is a TYRANT in reality. No less than Saddam Hussein. Our government and all Presidents back to 1880s laid the groundwork as a tyrannical govt, starting wars to keep the deceptive practices of money control, but was under the radar. Next Federal Reserve in 1914, a non Govt organization to steal productivity from all Americans in the form of outlandish taxes. Wars are started to keep Central Bank money flowing.
